Waiting for Call me Ornament 3
On the occasion of the exhibition “Call me Ornament” curated by the director’s house in the gallery of the Bavarian Arts and Crafts Association, the members of the Berlin-Brandeburg e.V Masters’ Council meet where they receive the members of the Bavarian Arts and Crafts Association in Munich.
As a professional association, the institution represents the interests of over 400 artisans. The purpose of the association is to promote arts and crafts in Bavaria.
The association was founded in 1851 with the aim of improving craft training and promoting the quality of handicrafts. In the age of the Industrial Revolution, the tradition of craftsmanship and the design of industrial production should serve as a model. In 1887 the association had 2,175 members, including artists and architects as well as industrial and handicraft businesses. Activities included the organization of his own exhibitions and participation in the world exhibitions in London, Vienna, Paris and Chicago. Since the focus of the association is very close to that of the Council of Masters, the network meeting is enriching for both sides. The welcome will take place on September 7th, 2023 by B. Michael Andressen, the chairman of the Bavarian Arts and Crafts Association.
